"It's never gonna change" is the comment from John Hotz, the 3rd   generation owner of Hotz's  Cafe.

The bar hasn't changed since it opened in 1919, and is a pleasant step back to a time when the likes of Lou Gherig, Rocky Colavito, Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth stopped by for a nightcap after a ball game.  They joined

factory workers who would walk up the hill  for a shot and a brew. 

The original  mahogany bar and bottle cap   stools are part of the neighborhood and the popular 1940's shuffleboard gets its fair amount of use.  Says John "We aren't trying to pretend we are some old 'style bar'.  We are!"

Visit Tremont's famous Historic District and stop in for a drink of your favorite beverage.  

 The Hotz's Cafe is located in the Tremont area just outside of downtown Cleveland.  

Opened in 1919, the bar has been in the Hotz family for four generations. There is history galore in the building and if the walls could only talk, they'd have many a tale to tell .

Hotz's Cafe is a traditional "old style" tavern with a friendly staff and regulars both old and new! Being in business for 90 years, Hotz Cafe embodies a likeness to the "Cheers" of Tremont, a place where "everyone knows your name". 

Whether you arive in style or with sut all over your face, it makes no difference at this tavern.  The patrons are friendly, the food is delicious, and the beer is cold and cheap.  What more could you ask for?
